KHJ Studio
Kim HyunJoo, the founder of KHJ Studio in Korea, is an artist and a designer focused on sculpture, installation, and craft-related lifestyle items. She appreciates the nature and always gets her inspiration from it. Most of her works are natural material like stone, hanji ,Korean traditional paper, and wood. Her Frost Breeze collection represents four seasons. This fan resembles a look of tree. Trees in four seasons show distinct characteristics. A pink fan is a tree with cherry blossom. A green fan is a tree in the summer. A yellow fan is a ginkgo tree with yellow leaves in the fall. A white fan is a tree with snow. The artist dyed hanji, Korean traditional paper that is unique in its texture and durability. Hanji is a paper that the ancient people in Korea used. It is made out of the fibers from Korean mulberry trees. This free standing fan can be used as a hand fan, blocking sunlight or even an object at home.
Tiny black holes and bubbles, surface imperfections or different colors for similar products part of the same collection made with reactive glaze. Different weights, different sizes, different shades, irregular patterns, tiny irregularities of contact parts, color concentration in natural deposit, signs of connections between different elements are all intrinsic characteristics that represent the uniqueness of each article. They are NOT attributed to a manufacturing flaw, thus not eligible for "defective or damaged" items to return.
